La Asociación de Editores Juridícos en Europa (Law Publishers in Europe, LPE) integrada por las editoriales más importantes de cada país, ha convocado el premio de ensayo Franz Stein, en memoria del que fue Director del grupo Editorial MANZ de Austria, recientemente fallecido.

La convocatoria del premio dirigida a estudiantes se regirá con arreglo a las siguientes bases:
Stein Memorial Award Essay Competition
European law students are invited to participate in the Stein Memorial Award Essay Competitionsponsored by Law Publishers Europe. The award will go to the best essay on the following topic:
"How should the EU Ensure the Human Rights Confirmity of the Targeted Sanctions its Member States have to Impleted Pursuant to UN Security Council Resolutions?"
The competition is open to all students enrolled in a law school in Europe.
Submissions are due by 15 june 2009 and shall be to stein-award@lpe.cc
The English essays should not exceed 8.000 words (including footnotes).
The winner will be chosen by a jury composed of Erika de Wet (University of Amsterdam), Stelios Perrakis (Pantheion University Athens) and August Reinisch (Vienna Law Faculty).
The winner will receive a cash prize of Euro 6.000,00. The winning essay wil be published in one of LPE's academic journals. The jury reserves the right to split the prize.
